Building the Team
We know that this can be an unforgiving job at times, so at least once a quarter we offer sponsored trips to sporting events, picnics, ski trips, holiday parties, and other rewards for your hard work.
Work closely with developers and public officials to create conceptual plans and roadway alignment studies, conduct constraints analysis, and prepare preliminary and final development plan layouts based on each unique project.
Interns: Civil Engineers and Surveyors
Work with seasoned civil engineers to learn the ropes of preliminary lotting, grading design, and utility design, as well as cost estimates, surveying, earthwork, and hydrology. Experience a series of lectures and hands-on design exercises to get a sufficient sense of how a project at CBG progresses.
You’re persistent, focused, and always thinking. Design, plan, and oversee the construction of infrastructure such as roads, storm drain, and water and sewage systems for projects in both the private and public sectors. Key tasks include: preparing construction plans, design calculations, cost and quantity estimates, drainage studies, and other technical reports.
You’ve got an eye for detail and are keenly focused on the task at hand. Key responsibilities include: preparing boundary control and topographic surveys, legal descriptions and plat maps, as well as recorded maps and exhibits.
You’re well-organized and detail oriented, have excellent MS Office skills, and can adapt to ever-evolving tasks. Key responsibilities include: document production, including letters, memos, proposals, estimates and various spreadsheets. General office duties such as filing, typing, and data entry.
